LIFE LATELY | CONCERTS, FOOD AND WANDERLUST

Hey guys! How is the universe at your end? Things have been quietly brewing here and Freddie has been bringing a ton of joy and hair-pulling into our world. He is 2 and a half months old now and every bit a naughty teenager. Tell him not to chew on something, and he would go right at it! But the excitement with which he greets you every time and the love with which he curls up on your lap makes up for everything. So far, this little nugget has learned how to sit and say hi. Adorable much? I have had so many late nights these past few days that my brain is now accustomed to functioning only at midnight. Not good. Trying to find ways to get up early and sleep early. I can so hear everyone in my family snicker at me while reading this. I'll get to it guys! We went to see Alt J! Granted I am not familiar with every song on their list, but boy were they awesome. However, I soon realised, being short does absolutely nothing for you with regards to a concert. Sme...

LIFE LATELY | Puppies, Movies and Awesome Mothers

Hey guys! Checking in from blazing Delhi.  Things have been part crazy and part awesome here. I really do wish life would grow up and decide on something. These mood swings are killin me! Life lately has been mostly down in very dirty dumps. Sickness combined with lack of motivation has really been a buzzkill. Here's what my week looked like.  The week started off surprisingly productive. I hashed out many a to-do list and managed to kick almost all the dirty work to the curb. Working from home, I have soon come to realise, isn't as glorified as I thought it might be. Sure, I can be my own boss, choose my own working hours and nap in-between said hours. But there are times when I want to walk down to the nearest hole-in-the-wall with my colleague and down a bottle of thumbs up in hopes that it would miraculously ease all the problems in world. Times like those, are missed sorely. In random good-looking news. My house is now entirely covered with these flow...

TWO DAYS IN UDAIPUR | STYLED

A few months ago, I got a chance to travel down to one of India's most revered cities--Udaipur. Amidst the grandeur of fantastical palaces and havelis and the tranquility of boat rides and scenic rooftop dinners, I got a chance to unwind and explore. While waiting, patiently i might add, for the pictures to sort and edit themselves out, I thought I'd show you what I wore during those two blissful days. Because sometimes, travel and style go hand in hand... BLACK TIGHTS FROM CHEMISTRY, SCARF FROM SAROJINI, CAMISOLE FROM WESTSIDE SHRUG FROM FOREVER 21, SLIPPERS FROM GK1 TOP AND SKIRT FROM SAROJINI, CAMISOLE FROM WESTSIDE SLIPPERS FROM GK1

STYLED + REVIEW | T-SHIRT ADDICTION

BATMAN MINION TEE FROM  WE THE CHIC , BOOTS FROM DEHRADUN, LEATHER BAG FROM UDAIPUR, DIY RIPPED JEANS Batman and a Minion? Who could say no!  Since I work from home a lot (A LOT!), my everyday wear is usually summed up in a comfortable top and loose pants. Throw on jeans when you're headed out and you're good to go!  My tshirt options at home are limited to the free ones that you manage to snag at various competitions. So it was a bit of a breather (for me and for those that get to enjoy my company) to see me wear something that fit my form.  We The Chic is a fun, online brand that brings together various designers to dish out eclectic products. Their range of movie and television tshirts is amazing, with everything from Big Bang Theory and House on offer! The fabric they use is completely organic and extremely soft and the tshirt fits perfectly. I foresee myself slipping into an addiction for printed tees. Let Game of Thrones m...

HYPNOTIC JAIPUR

As I stepped down from our intercity bus, only moments after the sun had woken, what I wasn't prepared for was the shocking culture overload of India's vibrant pink city. Eager to escape the madness in Delhi, we decided pack our bags and take the bus out to the first destination that had hotels available! And lo and behold, Jaipur it turned out to be. As soon as our bus slowed down slightly, the full effect of a chaotic, overflowing city started to hit me. Jaipur was hypnotic in all senses.   Day one saw us passed out well until the sun had almost retired. Not one to waste the last remnants of the day, we hopped onto a rickshaw and preceded to chase the setting rays up till the majestic Nahargarh Fort that sits comfortably atop a ridge overlooking the city. At every turn and bend, my heart was sold. The crisp, cool air combined with a musty mountain smell and the slow ruffling of leaves—I could sit here and stare into nothingness all day. Nahargarh was...

THE MOST AMAZING CUPCAKES IN TOWN! - SUCRE

Making our way through the 'I Haat Delhi' festival, tired and hungry, we managed to sample some seriously amazing dessert. Never mind the grub, we devoured these sweet treats like no body's business. Amongst mighty contenders, one tiny-esque patisserie stole my taste buds for keeps.  Sucre, with gorgeous looking cupcakes, brownies and tiramisu, managed to give competition to all that I loved about Mumbai's baking culture. Seriously! What's happening.  Always playing safe with chocolate, I actually fell in love with the Lemon Cupcake this time around. The cream cheese frosting on top was super light and moist. The Chocolate Cupcake with chocolate ganache was equally good.  Never satisfied, we took a second trip to the stall to pick up a Raspberry Brownie. A photograph of us eating the brownie would have been more apt at this point. But alas, I have none. For the moment the chewy goodness was taken out of its packet, it disappeared. A fudge, ...

THE INDIAN SKY AND MY FIRST EXHIBITION

A few months ago, amidst a lot of changes and city moves, I decided to take the plunge and set up an online store selling my handmade wares. Countless hours spent stuck to the computer and even more running around finding the perfect (and patient!) vendor have finally led to something great and wonderful. Along with an annoying addiction to coffee and fizzy drinks. Damn you caffeine! Now, one month in and it's as crazy as ever. I've got so much love and appreciation that everything now seems overwhelming and surreal. Someone please pinch me awake.  TheIndian Sky is now live. My little shop combines the love of design, illustration, and typography to create colourful prints and paper goods. Here, you will find a melange of whistle-worthy art prints, calendars, cards and home goods. To kick things off its and get the word out, I recently set up my first stall at Delhi's I Haat Delhi exhibition. Oh what a whirlwind! A week to prep everything and get all...
