MY WEEK IN OBJECTS

This week has been a stressful little bugger. My mantra for the next week should definitely be 'care a little less'. Who's in it with me? four little things that made my week. (and added some love to it...) 1. this wall hanging. {because it reminded me of the carefree fun i had on vacation and how i should always be that person} 2. this necklace. {for reminding me how awesome sisters are. this was a gift from her and i wore it every single day for a week.} 3. this owl key-chain. {because my bag needs some love too!} 4. this piggy-bank.  {because it reminds me of the person who gifted this to me. and because he looks adorable}

LOVING A NEW CITY | A SERIES

I love the idea of moving to a new city, of starting over and leaving your past way behind. You try to make new memories while learning to love the people and places along the way. CafĂ© owners are remembered by name and housewarmings are just an excuse to get people together. I’ve been in Delhi for all my life, except for the 2 great years I spent in Mumbai. That made me realise the need to start with a clean slate. No one knew me there and I could be anyone I wanted to be! I’m back now and as much as I hated this city from the start, I will have to start getting used to living here. It’s easy to love a fable city like Paris, but completely the opposite when it’s a city like Delhi. Familiarising myself with the touch of the city is the way ahead I suppose. So, I will try and document my learning along the way for any of you trying to fall in love with a new place you’ve landed into. I hope I be of help for any of you. So here’s introducing: Loving a new city – a series. ...

MAKE IT | JEWELLERY HOLDER

For all those who know me and my sister, know that we are insanely in love with jewellery. Over the years our little jewellery table has been through hundreds of attempts at organisation and clearance. None have been quite successful so far. It still remains a mysterious treasure chest that houses pieces I didn’t even know I had! I have seen these jewellery stands float about on Pinterest and I began scouring my mother’s cupboard in hopes that I will land myself with a set of beautiful plates. And I did! Though not exactly what I wanted, I figured these would do! I got the pipe from a local hardware store and had him cut it for me as well. It was a spare they had no use for and thus I was charged almost nothing! YOU NEED: 1. Plates 2. Pipe 3. Paint Brush 4. White Paint 5. Fevi Kwick 6. Tissue wrapping paper 7. Glue METHOD: I started by giving my plates and pipe two coats of white paint. Make sure you have a newspaper on your working surface to avoid any unwanted spills....
