I'm
grooving to a famous Beatles song, the smell of freshly made waffles
teasing me endlessly. Hop, skip and jump to the Jukebox and a new
melody replaces the old one. It feels like nothing can go wrong at
JamJar Diner.
The
first time I ever went there, I went as a journalist for my magazine.
Standing outside, looking around at the very familiar road I used to
come everyday to for my internship, I almost blink and miss this
beauty. Well not really, since its bright blue exterior mystically
beckons you to step in!
And
since then, every single person I’ve met knows the tales of the
small place with the madhouse interiors. Say hello to topsy-turvy
shelves, stained glass booths, old school curtains and the
fascinating oddities thrown into the mix. As
you step into Jamjar Diner, you almost expect your grandmother to
come sauntering out from the kitchen, a plate of freshly cooked food
in her hands.
Craving
for hearty breakfasts on Sunday mornings with a side dose of classic
songs? Head on over if you're ever in the Versova side of Mumbai!
If
you want to read more about this eclectic little place, I've done a
whole article in the June issue of The Ideal Home and Garden
Magazine! Interior tips and all...
