A few months ago, I decided that I'd roll out of bed early and make myself a proper nutritious breakfast. When your life is as hectic as mine (read: late night Game of Thrones marathons), healthy meals can be tough to swing.
Enter the fruit smoothie. This cool and creamy sip is packed with the benefits of fresh cut fruits and power packed flax seeds (high in finer and Omega-3 fatty acids). The lack of added sugar is as awesome as the proverbial icing.
From mangoes and pineapples to pomegranate seeds and apples--you can pop in any fruit that you find around your house. It's as simple as throwing all the ingredients in and giving it a whirl. Do add a handful of ice to make the smoothie nice and cold.
The apple pie smoothie is a delectable combination of green apples and banana. I left the skin on the apple for extra added fibre.
This smoothie makes exactly one glass. Perfect for not sharing and gulping it down on your own!
